Croaker Festival 2017

“Celebrating our Fishing Heritage” is this year’s theme for the 2017 Croaker Festival on June 30, July 1,2, 2017. Planning is well under way but we are in great need of volunteers, specifically for helping with Advertisements and Sponsorships, Vendors, Croaker Booth, Garbology, Kids Park, Publicity and other general tasks. We also need a Parade Meister so if any of these tasks appeals to you please contact Cheryl Thompson cetsail23@aol.com or call (252) 249-0510 and leave message.

Fireworks News:

Pamlico County Croaker Festival FireworksThe Croaker Committee has been working with the Town Manager, Pamlico Emergency Services, Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office, East Coast Pyrotechnics, Inc., U.S. Coast Guard and the NC Department of Transportation to solve the dilemma we have each year for the firework display. Our fireworks celebration is a tradition in our little town that draws visitors from all over to view the fabulous display.

This year should prove to be the best ever as we have secured permission to launch them from atop the bridge. We are announcing this exciting news now so that all patrons and residents will have ample opportunity to find a location to view the show. With the bridge being the new launch location there will have to be changes to the bridge closure which will be a slight inconvenience for those persons that normally travel the bridge and/or watch from the bridge. Details are currently being worked out and will be available shortly. Stay tuned through your local media. Please donate to the Fireworks show at Croakerfestival.com “Sponsor a Sparkle” you may pay through Paypal or by check made payable to Croakerfestival, Inc. mailed to P.O.Box 1067. To be in the Program guide as a patron payment must be received by June 1st .
